The Kawaihau Community Little League minors all-stars have beaten Kailua “A” 9-8 yesterday to move on to the semi-finals of the district tournament on O‘ahu.
The all-stars were led on the mound by good pitching from Earl Thronas, who pitched the first five innings notching six strikeouts. Brenton Rapozo came in for relief to finish the game.
At the plate, Kawaihau were led by Bronson Aiwohi, who hit three singles, one double, and one RBI. Brenton Rapozo hit a single, triple, and two RBI. Kekoa Alfiler came up with two singles and one RBI. Defensively, Jacob Rapozo, Jaky Alves, and Vincent Simon led the the all-stars, who play tomorrow at 4 p.m. on O‘ahu.
