“I call on the American people to assemble on that day in their respective places of worship, there to pay homage to the memory of President Reagan,” Bush said in a White House announcement.
Some federal agencies critical to national security will remain open.
Flags are to fly at half-mast into July as part of the national mourning period declared by Bush earlier this week.
