Leona Mae Weber
Leona Mae Weber of Asbury Place, Maryville, TN, formerly of Cooksville, IL., died July 29, 2004, in Asbury Place at the age of 93.
Born Oct. 10, 1910, in Colfax, IL, she retired from State Farm Insurance Co. in Bloomington after 25 years of service, retiring in 1975. She and her husband moved to Hawai‘i in 1986 and she lived there until Jan. 2004.
Preceded in death by her husband, J. Myron Weber, she is survived by two sons: Duane (Joyce) Weber of Estes Park, Co., and Richard “Dick” (Carol) Weber of Decatur, Il.; one daughter: Sharon (Duane) Bazzell of Kalaheo; one sister: Thelma Mason of Elmhurst, Ill., nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, Aug. 5, at Union Church of Cooksville, IL. Officiating were the Rev. Scott Weber and the Rev. Brian Eble.
Interment took place at Wiley Cemetery, in Colfax, IL.
Patricio Duhaylongsod Caycayon
Patricio Duhaylongsod Caycayon of Hanama‘ulu, died Aug. 3, 2004, at Mills-Peninsula Hospital, San Mateo, Calif., at the age of 78.
Born March 13, 1926, he was the retired manager of security services for Hawaii Protective Agency.
Preceded in death by his wife: Velma Kaleikini Caycayon, he is survived by four sons: Gerald (Nati) Ganaban of O‘ahu, Roger (Pat) Ganaban of O‘ahu, Patrick “Skip” (Noreen) Caycayon of Hanama‘ulu, and Jerry “Sonny” (Iris) Caycayon of Anahola; four daughters: Linda (Gilbert) Miles of California, Ruth (Sa’le) Caycayon-Potts of Kekaha, Patricia Caycayon of California and Ardella Arrington of California; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kapaia from 8:30 a.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Marvin Jay Bergdahl
Marvin Jay Bergdahl of Wahiawa, O‘ahu, died July 31, 2004, at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 41.
Born March 26, 1963, in Hawai‘i, he was in sales.
He is survived by his mother: Leona E. Ching; one sister: Myra L. Ching-Remitio; one brother: Wesley D Ching; grandmother: Lani Turner; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
