Sadako Fujiuchi
Sadako Fujiuchi of Kealia died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Sept. 11, 2004, at the age of 82.
Born in Kealia, on Oct. 15, 1921, she retired from Coco Palms Hotel.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Milton (Judith) Fujiuchi of Hilo, Hawai‘i, and Brian (MaBel) Fujiuchi of Kapa‘a; daughter, Marcia (Ronald) Ota of Kapa‘a; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Momoyo Kasaoka of O‘ahu; brother-in-law, Tadao Nishio of Kapa‘a; sister-in-law, Beatrice Furumoto of Kealia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, at Kapaa Hongwanji Mission; service officiated by Rev. Takata will begin at 3 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Dominador Gubaton
Dominador Gubaton of Kaumakani died at home on Sept. 11, 2004, at the age of 77.
Born in Corregidor, Philippines on Feb. 23, 1927, he was a sugar processor with Olokele Sugar Co.
He is survived by his wife, Florita Gubaton; three sons, Danilo (Yolanda) Gubaton of San Diego, Calif., Cesar (Frozerfina) Gubaton of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Elmer Gubaton of Kaumakani; three daughters, Virgie Pascua of Kekaha, Alicia Rivera of Kaumakani and Marie (Greg) Paiste of ‘Ele‘ele; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Filomena Luna of ‘Ele‘ele; sister-in-law, Oliva Gubaton of Kaumakani; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, at the West Kauai United Methodist Church; service officiated by Pastor Jim Brooking will begin at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Aloha attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Haruko Yoshishige
Haruko Yoshishige of Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Sept. 13, 2004, at the age of 96.
Born in Koloa on Apr. 13, 1908, she was a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by four sons, Isamu (Janet) Yoshishige of Lihu‘e, Takeshi Yoshishige of Kapa‘a, Satoru (Sueko) Yoshishige of Lihu‘e and Jack (Irene) Yoshishige of Honolulu; three daughters, Sumako Ichimasa of Lihu‘e, Judy (Claude) Kouchi of Westminster, Calif., and Elaine (Yusei) Tasato of Torrance, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Sadamu Tasaka of Kapa‘a; two sisters, Tsurue (Masaichi) Morinaka of Lihu‘e and Umeno Oda of Koloa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Henry Naganuma
Henry Takeo Naganuma of Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Sept. 13, 2004, at the age of 84. Born in Hanama‘ulu on Nov. 3, 1919, he was a salesman with numerous businesses, and retired from the Gas Company.
He is survived by his wife, Namiko of Lihu‘e; son, Greg (Joann) Naganuma of Lihu‘e; two daughters, Jill (Ralph) Gushiken of San Jose, Calif., and NamiAnn (Tad) Yoshikawa of Lihu‘e; five grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Peggy) Naganuma of Kailua, Hawai‘i and Ed (Connie) Naganuma of Santa Barbara, Calif.; sister, Ellen (Toshimi) Kurihara of Los Angeles, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Leon Duhaylongsod Sr.
Leon Duhaylongsod Sr. of Kapa‘a died Sept. 13, 2004, at Garden Island Health Care at the age of 84. Born April 11, 1920, in the Philippines, he worked in seed treatment for McBryde Sugar.
Preceded in death by two sons, Leon Duhaylongsod, Jr. and Lawrence Duhaylongsod, he is survived by his wife: Fannie Duhaylongsod of Kapa‘a; five children: Mercedes (Richard) Duhaylongsod-Howards of Connecticut, Mary Ann Malia (Scott) Duhaylongsod-Chatterley of Kapa‘a; Rhoda Duhaylongsod of Wailua and Dorean Duhaylongsod of Puhi; one sister: Dorothy Balocan Furtado of California; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 18, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
