Alfred Ah Loo Jr.
Alfred Charles Ah Loo, Jr. of Honokaa, Hawai‘i, and formerly of Anahola, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at the Kona Community Hospital, at the age of 52.
Born Jan. 12, 1952, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was a Community Development Facilitator for Queen Liliuokalani Children’s Center-Queen Liliuokalani Trust Windward Unit in Honolulu.
He is survived by his wife: Roberta Ah Loo of Honokaa; five sons: Alfred Charles (Claudia Christian) Ah Loo, III of Kaua‘i; Lono (Shannon Haliielua) Ah Loo of Kaua‘i, Keone (Mona) Ah Loo of Kaua‘i, Nathan (Nohea-Minei) Ah Loo of Hilo and Marshall Ah Loo of Kaua‘i; two hanai sons: Kaehu Herrod of Washington and Kawena Craig of Kailua-Kona; one daughter; Karlene Ah Loo Haag of Honolulu; 20 grandchildren; three sisters: Karen Ironmoccasin of New York; Becky (Henry) Spillner of Ewa Beach; and Annette Ah Loo Sanchez of Makaha; parents-in-law: Rose and John Afalla of Honokaa; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends may call on Friday, Oct. 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Honokaa Methodist Church for visitation. Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
On Friday, Oct. 15, there will be a visitation at 6 p.m. at United Church of Christ on Farrington Highway next to the Waialua High School. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
The family requests that casual attire be worn.

Guillermo De Luna
Guillermo Aranda De Luna of ‘Ele‘ele, died Oct. 3, 2004, at his home at the age of 88.
Born Feb. 10, 1916, in the Philippines, he was a sugarcane plantation worker.
He is survived by his wife: Caridad De Luna of ‘Ele‘ele; two daughters: Levy (Edwin) Sagucio of California and Phia (Freddy) Rayudo of the Philippines; one brother: Eusevio De Luna of California; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel on Friday, Oct. 8. Burial will be at Valley of the Temples in Honolulu.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
James Curtis
James Curtis of Princeville, died Oct. 2, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihu‘e, at the age of 73.
Born June 14, 1931, in Bramley, Surrey, England, he was owner and operator of the Aloha Adventure Activities.
He is survived by his wife: Romey Curtis of Princeville; two daughters: Lucy Curtis of Annapolis, Maryland and Katy Curtis of Kilauea; son Matt (Muy) Curtis of San Jose, Calif.; sister Briar (Denys) Mullins of England and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Lihue Lutheran Church, at 4602 Hoomana Road (above highway and across from the old sugar mill).
Private burial will be held at a later date.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
