The controversial, citizen-driven charter amendment dealing with residential property taxes is the subject of a TV program on Ho‘ike Kaua‘i Community Television Inc. offered by the League of Women Voters of Kauai County:
The one-hour show on the Ohana Kauai charter amendment question, to be on the ballot on the Tuesday, Nov. 2 general election ballot, will be today, Saturday, Oct. 16, at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 17, at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., on channel 52.
The program begins with a complete reading of the ballot question by League member Barbara Robeson.
Robeson then introduces two guests: Walter Lewis, a member of the Ohana Kauai group which is sponsoring the amendment, and Eric Knutzen of the county Department of Finance, who coordinated meetings of the Kauai County Tax Task Force.
