The Kaua‘i High School softball team is on its way to states.
The 11-1 Red Raiders will face Kaimuki Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the first round of the 2005 Data House Hawaii High School Athletic Association softball tournament at the University of Hawai‘i Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
Kaimuki went 8-8 in the Oahu Interscholastic Association, finishing fifth, according to the HHSAA website.
According to the website, where the brackets were released yesterday, the winner of the Kaua‘i/Kaimuki game will face #2-seeded Kapolei, the OIA winner, at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The #1 seed in the tournament this year is Punahou, which went undefeated in the Interscholatic League of Honolulu this year.
