Travis in the County’s boys winter Stein’s 18 points led the way for the Lihu‘e Lakers, who pounced on Wailua #2, 55-38 on Monday 14-and-under basketball league at Kilauea Neighborhood Center.
Brian Gerrado contributed with 12 points in the win. For Wailua it was Jin Wu, who led the way with 15 points. Kelvin Villanueva notched nine points in the loss.
Wailua #1 made up for Wailua #2’s loss with the win in the second game over Waimea, 44-26.
David Mendes and John Beralas combined for 16 points for Wailua. Hayward Halog and Peyton Navarro scored seven and five points for Waimea.
Kyle Van Buskirk and Elijah Phillips combined for 19 points, as Eastside defeated G-Unit, 46-25 in game three.
Aric Casino contributed with a game-high 13 points for G-Unit, followed by Cody Valpoon with seven.
