Keiki Rodeo benefit golf tournament

Mark your calendars and leave Sunday, July 10 open for the Kaua‘i Keiki and High School Rodeo Association’s (KKHSRA) Fourth Annual Golf Tournament National Rodeo Finals Fundraiser.
The beautiful Kukuiolono Golf Course will play host to this wonderful event, which starts at 7 a.m., with an individual format.
Maximum handicap for men is 27 and 36 for women. Flights will be determined by tournament committee prior to tee off.
Entry fee is $75 per participant and includes green fees, cart, closest to the pin, longest drive, lunch, door prizes, entertainment and awards banquet. Prizes will be awarded by flight and every participant will win a prize.
The guest luncheon fee is $10 and the entry deadline is July 1 to cart limitation).
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the association and the national rodeo qualifiers.

Drug awareness seminars
The Hyatt Regency Kaua‘i Resort and Spa in partnership with the Kaua‘i Police Activities League (K-PAL) will be hosting a drug awareness seminar featuring presenter Gary Shimabukuro, today in the Grand Ballroom at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m..
Also, the State of Hawai‘i Narcotics Division will have a drug and paraphernalia display for your viewing.
This seminar is mandatory for all K-PAL participants and parents to attend at least once.
Attendance will be taken at the door. Feel free to bring as many guests as you want.

Still more openings for youth swimmers
Mokihana Aquatics still has a handful of openings left for its Tiny Tots program (3 and 4 year olds). You must pre register or call by Monday, June 27. Coach “O” will be waiting by his phone: 821-0587.
Ed Ho Meet scheduled for August 13
The West Kaua‘i Lions Club is proud to sponsor the 31st Annual Ed Ho Memorial Swim Meet. Mr. Ed Ho a former teacher and coach at Waimea High School unselfishly devoted his time and energy to the youth, community activities, and to organizations including the West Kaua’i Lions Club.
This swim meet is open to Boy’s and Girl’s 17 yrs. of age and younger. Preregistration will be accepted till August 3, 2005. The events scheduled include freestyle, back and breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley.
All events are scheduled to be held at the Waimea Swimming Pool on Saturday, August 13. The meet starts with the first heat promptly at 9 a.m.
