The awardees this year included: The group includes Kaua‘i Community College Native Hawaiian counselor and language instructor Ilei Beniamina, musician and Westside community leader Jose Bulatao, Hawaiian language translator Frances Frazier, Westside librarian and Native Hawaiian culture expert Aletha Kaohi, farmer and agriculture expert Roy Oyama and Garden Island Arts Council head and artist Carol Yotsuda.
