The Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League honored its hardest workers in the classroom yesterday at Hanapepe Stadium.
Scholastic awards were presented to players and cheerleaders, who displayed high marks in their respective grades.
The distinguished group included Lance De-los Reyes, Matthew Koyama, Christian Largo, Mariah Navor-Gasmen, Tiara Agustin, Barron Rapozo, Kehau Medeiros, Richard Liberato, Brandie Chinen, Jessica Langaman, and Elvie Bisarra.
“I’m trying to get each association involved. It’s not a very hard thing to do and at first, no one took it seriously, but the numbers on Kaua‘i have grown,” Kaua‘i Scholastic chairperson Gracie Grace said.
