The football game climaxed a week’s worth of homecoming celebrations, mostly at the school, and marked the start of the final round of football games in the Kaua’i Interscholastic Federation (KIF).
Shalee Mundon was named Miss Warrior, and escorted by Kekoa Hermosura, with Ane Taufo’ou wearing the banner of Miss Touchdown, as she was escorted by Donald Pagelsdorff.
Tara Waialeale-Rivera’s banner read “Miss Victory,” as she was escorted by Trevor Boro, and Caren Calvan was named Miss Spirit, escorted at the half-time by Lyndon Pascual.
Bryn Hashimoto, escorted by Henry Borges, represented the senior class, with Cheyenne Barretto, escorted by Kunane Gayagas, bearing the sash for the juniors.
Hilary Fernandes, escorted by David Mendes, led the 10th-grade class, and Kalia Mayer, escorted by Joseph Velasco, had the honor for the ninth-grade class.
Kai Kanoho, in action on the field with the number 11 jersey, reigned as the school’s homecoming king.
This coming Friday, Oct. 28, Kaua’i High School students will celebrate their homecoming game, as the defending Kaua’i Interscholastic Federation champions host the Kapa’a Warriors at Vidinha Stadium.
The junior-varsity contest kicks off at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game kicking off at 7:30 p.m.
