LIHU’E — Shirley Tani said she only filled out one entry blank.
But that was all it took, as she claimed the grand prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas. Her name was drawn at the 2005 First Hawaiian Bank and Kauai Auto Dealers Association Auto Show held in the parking lot of the Lihu’e Kmart store.
Tani accepted the prize of a travel certificate for the trip from Mike Murakoshi, the First Hawaiian Bank’s senior vice president and Kaua’i region supervisor.
During the car show, Kaua’i residents browsed through over 150 new vehicles that were on display from leaders of Kuhio Motors, King Auto Center, Kaua’i Toyota, and Midpac Auto Center.
Shoppers also had an opportunity to try their luck on the First Hawaiian Bank “Yes Slots,” Vegas-style slot machine, and enjoy food and drinks.
