KSA soccer camp starts Monday
The Kaua’i Soccer Association is hosting a soccer camp Monday through Thursday at the Island School soccer fields.
The camps will run from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Total cost is $130.
The National Soccer Academy (NSA) will be running the camps while looking for players for several trips to the mainland, Sweden, and Denmark.
Fred Hsu and Brad Jordan will be the coaches for the camp that is open to youth between 8 and 15 years of age. Walkins are welcome.
Hsu explained that the mainland trips include more training and scrimmage games in preparation for the eventual tournament in Europe.

Georgeson wins three times
Chelsea Georgeson of Australia held off Brazilian Jacqueline Silva in the finals of the Billabong Pro, Maui to capture not only the title there, but also the ASP world title, and the Triple Crown.
Georgeson took the world title from Peruvian Sofia Mulanovich who lost her quarterfinal heal to 2002 event winner Silva who could not do enough to defeat the Australian, who with the win, enjoyed a hat trick of wins, Friday.
Hanapepe JPW cheer placed eighth

Disney World seemed like a great place to go after the regular season finished, but for the Hanapepe Colts junior pee wee cheer squad, it was all business in one of the happiest places on earth.
The girls placed eighth in their division and were tough to beat throughout the competition.
The squad includes Kyron Corr, Kawehi Ephan, Tiffany Huddy, Tamara Akau, Alyssa Jardin, Mariah Paiste, Kuali’i Kamala, Kamaile Ruiz, Nicole Ogawa, Sienna Santiago, Kawena Warren, Caitlin Gaspar, and Taylor Gaspar.
The team is coached by Sherri Ephan.
