After defeating the Red Raiders on Wednesday, the Waimea softball squad moved to 2-0 on the season and into the driver’s seat in KIF softball.
Next up for the Menehune are the Warriors on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m.
The doubleheader will be played at Waimea Canyon Field.
A win would give the Menehune a commanding lead in the KIF softball race.
Kaua’i dropped to 2-1 with the Wednesday night loss. The Warriors in the meantime, are still searching for their first win of the season.
Kapa’a sits at 0-3 on the young season and looks to break through with a victory on Saturday.
Kapa’a battles Kaua’i on Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m. The game will be played at Kapa’a Ballpark.
