Members of the Nuesca family, grieving over the death of their parents, Helene “Lei” Nuesca and Louis Nuesca, in a late-October car accident, got some other bad news.
Their brother, Robert Nuesca, who was also injured in the two-car accident and had been in the intensive-care unit of The Queen’s Medical Center on O’ahu, and whom family members thought had been allowed to come home and was at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, is still on O’ahu.
Eleanor Nuesca said that the room for her brother at Wilcox Memorial Hospital is not yet ready, so instead of the family celebrating Christmas with their brother at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, some members of Robert Nuesca’s family have flown to Honolulu to spend Christmas with him there.
He is out of The Queen’s ICU, and in satisfactory condition there, she said.
