It’s time to “cowgirl up” for Kaua’i’s cowgirls, who will begin another exciting season in the All-Girls Rodeo Association on Jan. 29.
The action begins at 10 a.m., as the first All-Girls Rodeo of 2006 gets under way at CJM Country Stables in Po’ipu (about a mile past the Hyatt).
Admission is free and everyone is invited to enjoy the show. There’s ample seating in the open-air bleachers.
Rosie’s Lunch Wagon will be on hand once again, with local-style food and beverages on tap.
Logo T-shirts are also available at the event. The cowgirls will compete in six fast-paced events on horseback, barrel racing, breakaway roping, goat tying, dally team roping, pole bending, and steer undecorating.
2005 All-Around Cowgirl Marti Snyder will be on hand to defend her title.
The cowgirls plan on having an exciting day filled with fast-paced rodeo competition. Kaua’i’s YMCA is the primary sponsor of the All-Girls Rodeo Association.
