Taking deep breaths is a good way to relieve stress, advise organizers of a Stress Master class scheduled for Lihu‘e soon through the Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA).
The five-session, stress-reduction program is each Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., running through and including Feb. 7, and each Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. through Feb. 8.
The sessions are to be held at the HMSA HealthPass Office in Kukui Grove Professional Village, 4366 Kukui Grove St., Suite 207.
The classes are free for HMSA members, and $35 for all others. To register, participants should call toll-free 1-800-525-6548. Space is limited.
Participants will learn what stress is all about, hidden sources of stress, important stress-reduction strategies, and the hows and whys of deep breathing.
