Kauai Island Utility Cooperative 2006 youth tour winners Britney Borrero of Kaua‘i High, Kelsey Coleman-Stark of Waimea High, Camden Lorenz of Kapa‘a High and Jena Smalling of Island School left this week for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Youth Tour.
KIUC President and CEO Dutch Achenbach met the students at the airport to see them off. The four students were selected to visit Washington, D.C. this week and will meet up with some 1,500 other high school juniors who were also selected by their local rural utility cooperatives from across the country.
