Kapa‘a High School senior Nick Mortell is one of eight American winners of the first-ever McDonald’s Global Casting Call.
McDonald’s will place Mortell’s image and that of 24 other worldwide winners on millions of bags and cups next year, to be seen by more than 50 million customers a day, a press release from McDonald’s states.
The Kapa‘a football player submitted a brief essay and a photo of himself earlier this year that read:
“My passion? Football, football and more football. My favorite things in the world are playing football, watching football and playing football online. Professional football, college football, high school football, arena football, European league football — any kind of football! When I can’t get new games, I watch classic football games. Oh yeah. Did I mention I love football?”
The 25 winners were selected from 13,000 entries from more than 100 countries around the globe and range from age 5 to 60.
The 25 stars will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to London the week of Aug. 21 for a photo session with renowned lifestyle photographer Nick
Clements.
