“Four-by-four” took on a new meaning Saturday as the white-shirted Kilauea Golden Scorpions tangled with the Kilauea Great Whites in an AYSO Boys Under 8 matchup at the Kilauea Park.
“It’s four against eight,” one of the Scorpions said during a brief break between the third and fourth periods. “There’s only four of us and eight of them.”
The Scorpion’s parent said only four boys were able to make yesterday’s game, but the coach for the Great Whites cooperated by pulling one of his players off the field so the game could take place on equal terms.
