Chozo Watanabe of Kapa‘a died at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on Sept. 21, 2006, at the age of 89.
Born in Kealia on Nov. 15, 1916, he was a crane operator with Lihue Plantation.
He is survived by his wife Yasuko Watanabe; son Gregory (Eunice) Watanabe of Kapa‘a; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Haruo (Dolores) Watanabe of Kapa‘a and Shigeo (Linda) Watanabe of Los Angeles, Calif.; and sister Katherine Kikumi Watanabe.
Services were private. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
