KKCR begins its 18th semiannual Fund Drive today with a blessing at 10 a.m.
The community radio station will begin taking pledges at noon on “The Garden Show.” The 10-day fund-raiser ends at 6 p.m. Nov. 17.
The community fund drive is KKCR’s single most important source of revenue, a release states.
Listener gifts account for more than 40 percent of the total operating budget.
During the drive, KKCR will offer a wide variety of enticements, like gift certificates from local businesses, new CDs, KKCR logo wear and, for the first time, Hawaiian Airline miles.
