Sara Miura has been working real hard this week, coordinating Kevin Matsunaga’s video team from Chiefess Kamakahelei, the models and Halloween.
She said Gerilyn Luis, Tresame Lagazo, Kai Pau and Maile Aki’s Halloween outfits were all hand-made as they greeted trick-or-treaters at Underground.
While David Ochoco, Kapua Nahele and Keila Carvalho worked their video magic, Kaua‘i High School homecoming queen Randi Oketani was checking out the jackets while Auika Muragin was headed for Underground before soccer practice started.
Lei Nakayama was all rested from the Halloween revelers and said Thursday was All Souls Day. With all the rain, it was a good day for coffee as Kaua‘i High School bowling coach Wil Tabian had to send his bowlers home early, but the rain didn’t affect coach Leah Sanchez and her Kapa‘a girls who started training for state’s rolling six games.
Dining at the Kukui Grove food court is a great way to catch up on all kinds of stuff as Paul Pancho was getting ready to take off for New York … he said someone will be sending in the game recaps in his absence, and Kapa‘a coach Shiannte Keough’s mom and grandma were enjoying their lunch as was Gail Oride and her mom.
But it was off to Kekaha and visit with Ku‘ulei Takashima at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center where they have a new after school program going on.
OK, ‘nuff said…it’s off to visit Johnny Rabasa, Robin Sanchez and the Veterans Day parade!
