A Chinese lion from Au’s Shaolin Arts welcomed associates to the annual Associate Holiday Party and Awards Ceremony, where the monthly and 2006 Associates of the Year were announced.
Working with an international theme, associates showed up for the evening of entertainment and awards dressed in a variety of ethnic costumes.
Accountant Sharma Bautista was named one of four 2006 Associates of the Year, earning the Ho‘oikaiki (Heart or Back of the House) designation.
James Agcaoili of Kukui’s was the recipient for the Ho‘olauna (Front of the House), Grounds Department’s Robert Cacal won the Po‘okela (Supervisor/Lead) and Ben Napoleon of Guest Services earned the Luna Ho‘ohana (Manager) awards.
The resort’s monthly and quarterly winners were also acknowledged.

Following the dinner and awards, associates were eligible for drawings before a performance by Augie T. Mike Dandurand provided music for an evening of dancing that followed.
