The Port Allen Annual Fishing Derby will be held at Port Allen Small Boat Harbor starting at 6 a.m., June 23.
A lu‘au dinner and awards ceremony will follow the derby. There will be prizes for the winning fishermen and lucky number drawings for additional prizes donated by sponsors.
The derby was a popular event with Kaua‘i fishermen last year. Family members and friends can also purchase lu‘au tickets. Derby T-shirts will be available for sale.
Register early to get in on the action. Entry forms can be picked up at: Rainbow Paint; Lihue Fishing Supply; Nawiliwili Harbor Master office; and Port Allen Fishing Club.
