Pamela Ann Morretino, born June 24,1955, in Honolulu, died Sept. 6, 2007, in Lihu‘e.
She is survived by her husband Sam Morretino, son Sammy Kai, daughters Allison Whitacre and Jocelyn Morretino; brothers Patrick and Michael Erwin, grandson Trenton Morretino, nephews Simon, Tommy and Nicholas Erwin, niece Chelsea Erwin and mother-in-law Margaret Morretino.
Service for all friends and family will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Brennecke’s Beach.
Kazumasa Morita
Kazumasa Morita of Kapa‘a died at his home on Sept. 11, 2007, at the age of 88.
Born in Kawaihau on Sept. 23, 1918, he was the former owner of Kazu Morita Service. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Mitsuyo Morita; two sons, Marvin (Lynn) Morita of California and Roy (Elaine) Morita of Kapaa; daughter, Beverly Morita of Greeley, Colorado; four grandchildren Leiann and Denise, both of California, Cheryl of Kapaa and Ken of Honolulu; sister Hazel Shimabukuro of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Kapaa Hongwanji Mission; service at 4 p.m. Family request casual attire and flowers omitted.

Saturnina Cabinatan
Saturnina Ababon Cabinatan, of Hanama‘ulu, died at her home on Sept. 6, 2007, at the age of 91.
Born in Cebu, Philippines, on June 6, 1916, she was a cannery worker in Kapa‘a.
Preceded in death by son Leonardo, daughter Gloria Coleman and daughter-in-law, Yolanda, she is survived by sons Panfilo Cabinatan and Clifford (Kelly) Cabinatan, both of Hanamaulu; daughters, Florence (Edward) Feguis of Honolulu and Viviana (Julian Sr.) Luczon of Wailua; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; visitation also from 8 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Lihu‘e Ward; Service officiated by Bishop Venzon will begin at 9 a.m. followed by burial at Lihue Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Ronald K.H. Apana Sr.
Ronald K. H. Apana Sr. of Kapa’a died on Sept. 10, 2007, at the age of 71.
Born in Kapa‘a on Oct. 4, 1935, he was employed by NASA as a Communications Technician, Smith’s Motor Boat Service, and a long-time fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Grace; son Boy; daughters Puanani (Duane) Wakuta, Suzie (Keali’i) Dabin, Momi (Francis) Kapana, Chanel (Tim) Higgins; brother Bernard (Irene) Apana; 12 grandchildren, Tehani, Chivas, Shaundy, Shawna, Jetsen, Chandis, Kia, Keanu, Chaz, Chassidy, Kaeo and Duaney Boy.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Kapa’a First Hawaiian Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. n 11:30 a.m. and services beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Aloha attire suggested.

Llewellyn Nohili Yadao
Llewellyn Nohili Yadao, of Hanalei, died at home on Aug. 29, 2007, at the age of 44. Born in Waimea, on Oct. 9, 1962, he was a kalo mahi‘ai.
Preceded in death by his father William Julian Leandro Yadao, he is survived by his mother Helen Maxima Iida; brothers Leland Kuwalu (Elaine) Yadao, Barry Alan (Everlyn) Yadao; sisters, Yvonne Ernestyne Puanani (Greg) McKeown, Donna Marie Wailani Yasay, Dee Ann Lei ‘Ilima (Nolan) Rapozo, Moana Nohealani Chun, Desiree Tiare (Jerrad) Macayan; and numerous nieces and nephews Justyn McKeown, Shaun Yasay, Christian McKeown, Lucas (‘Anela) McGerity, Shaydon Moises, Shandonn Yasay, Cade Macayan, Keali‘i Rapozo, Kaehukai McGerity and Titan McKeague; nieces, Karli McKeown, Raell McKeown, Nolana Rapozo, Dara (Enoch) McKeague, Sheena Yasay, Pualani Rapozo, Beverly Yadao, Keala‘okekai Rapozo, Ku‘uipo Rapozo, Kiani Rapozo, ‘Anela Rapozo and Ke‘alohilani McGerity.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate his life at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Black Pot in Hanalei.

Katherine Katy Parr
Katherine Katy Parr died Sept. 14, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was 50.
Parr was born March 5, 1957, in California. She was an English teacher for 20 years in Madrid, Spain.
Parr is survived by: her companion Gustavo Garcia of Spain; sister Christine Farina of Kilauea; hanai sister and friend Lorraine Rapozo of Anahola step-sister Mary Ann Benton of California; brother Eric Parr of Honolulu, step-broter Bob Benton of California, stepfather Dr. Joseph Sullivan of California; aunt Barbara Hall, nieces,cousins, and many friends.
Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 23 at Anini Beach Park at 11 a.m. Scattering of remains to follow. There will be a viewing at 10:30 a.m. Family requests loose flowers and lei.
