Wilfredo A. Nebre Sr. of Lihu‘e died in Honolulu on Jan. 31, 2008, at the age of 64.
He was born in San Manuel, Pagasinan, Philippines, on Oct. 12, 1943. He was a truck driver for McBryde Sugar Co.
He is survived by his wife, Bella; sons Wilfredo (Cheryl) Nebre Jr., Alexander Nebre and Jonathan (Kathy) Nebre, all of Honolulu, William (Crystal) Nebre, of Kaua‘i, Joseph Nebre of Kaua‘i; daughters Amy (Carlan) Maglinti, of Kaua‘i, and Jocelyn Nebre, of California; brother Alfredo (Evelyn) Nebre Jr., of Kaua‘i; sisters Sandi (Val) Inanod, of Kaua‘i, Loreen (Ronald) Caberto, of Kaua‘i; and Didi (Gary) Chock of Kaua‘i; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation with family will be from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Immaculate Conception Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary and Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Nebre family with arrangements.
Sherwin Aichi Sasaki
Sherwin Aichi Sasaki of Lihu‘e passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 17, 2008, at the age of 49. Born in Lihu‘e on May 18, 1958, he was a truck driver with Lihu‘e Plantation.
He is survived by parents Hideo and Michie Sasaki, of Lihu‘e; brother Stafford Sasaki, of Hanama‘ulu; and sister Sheilah (Stephen) Thomas, of Wailua; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends can visit with the family at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Lihu‘e Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Rev. George Maeda at 4:30 p.m. Casual/aloha attire is suggested and the family asks that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary Ltd.
