Michael Scovel had the day off so could take in the KIF girls softball game where Leah is the scorekeeper for the Kaua‘i High School team and Red is one of the two managers.
Jett Jasper was enjoying his final days here before reporting for football practice with the University of Hawai‘i Warriors and got to see Jori pound out a homerun.
Over at the Kaua‘i High School gym where the boys volleyball started, Trey Shimabukuro was wrapping up his football workout, and dad Trent got his first taste of volleyball spectating.
At the Hanapepe Stadium where Waimea and Kapa‘a were wrapping up the first round of KIF baseball, Joyce Evens (she was at the robotics rally and Lt. Governor James “Duke” Aiona with her video crew Tuesday night, too) was the only thing working since Anahola Joel Pahukula couldn’t broadcast, and the scoreboard is still not working.
If you missed the Koloa Library book sale, David Thorp said you gotta wait until October for the next sale.
In the meantime, this is the weekend to check out Gary Pacheco and the Northshore Lions for the ono pancakes.
