Summer Solstice celebration starts today

The Summer Solstice Celebration begins today at the Malama Kaua‘i Sustainability Center in Kilauea.

The event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., will feature health fair booths, presentations by vendors and cultural experts, healthy food, cooking demonstrations and a lei contest.

A concert featuring Paula Fuga and friends will be from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

The celebration continues through Thursday, with workshops, classes, tours and other healthy living presentations being offered.
