‘Demo Day’
The Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course will host a free “Demo Day” on Saturday providing golfers the opportunity to experience the latest in golf equipment.
Representatives from Titleist and Cobra will be on hand presenting their newest products.
Golfers can try out the golf clubs on the driving range and get fitted for custom clubs on the spot using the new Titleist fitting cart for proper lie, shaft flex, and heads.
Special Demo Day prices will be offered for purchases made that day on any of the products being presented at the demo. In addition, Po‘ipu Bay’s Golf Shop will offer a 20 percent Demo Day discount on men’s and ladies’ apparel, caps, and visors.

WHS announces retirement/fundraiser
Representatives for Waimea High School announced the date of the retirement/fundraiser in honor of former vice principal Pat Perreira.
After 32 years of dedication to the school, of being an administrator, teacher and football coach, Perreira retired earlier this year.
The event is scheduled for 5 p.m., Aug. 9, at the high school.
Tickets for the dinner and pupu are $10 and are available by calling 338-999 or 482-1165. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the Waimea athletic department and the Richard Doi and Bunji Shimomura scholarships.
N. Shore Lions announces
golf tourney/cookout
The North Shore Lions Club will hold its golf tournament and cookout starting at 8 a.m., Aug. 10 at the Princeville Makai Golf Course.
It will be a two-person scramble with prizes for the net and gross, and closest to the pin (on the fourth hole), longest drive, best putts and chips. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m.
The cost is $90 per golfer, $160 per team.
