Spam Lindsey and Duke Pauli contributed 5 points each in the win that gave Team Central its second straight loss in the 3 G’s Nation competitive basketball league.
In a pair of 13 and Under games played at the Kapa‘a High School, Lihu‘e took a 33-30 edge over the Gee Unit in a boys match while Kaulupono Girls were a 30-16 winner over the Kamikaze.
Team Central had a 13-7 lead at the half, Wednesday night against Westside, but fell in overtime 36-31.
Bryan Andres, who finished with 14 points in the Westside loss, was held to just 8 points by the Kapa‘a B defense Thursday night.
Brandon Taylor, finishing with 11 points against the Westside, was held scoreless against the Warrior B team despite hustling for rebounds.
Makana Ledesma endured heavy traffic in the paint to join Andres with 8 points followed by Jimar Domingo adding 4 points and Kanalu Simao chalking up 3 points and several key boards.
Kerwin Morano paced the Lihu‘e 13 Under boys’ victory with a game-high 16 points followed by Mark Acoba netting 9 points.
Jacob Corpuz finished with 4 points, Kameron Perez put in 3 points and Kellen Aquino rounded out the win with a digit.
Donovan Harrison led the Gee Unit effort on a 10-point note followed by Mikal Morenz and Steven McCabe adding 6 points apiece. Makana Aki finished with 5 points and Allis Adimey rounded out the showing with 3 points.
Arrisa Thronas and Sanoe Kaohelaulii paced the Kaulupono win with 8 points apiece followed by Jennifer Grady adding 7 points. Krysta Kali finished with 5 points and a pair from Shay Orial rounded out the win in the evening’s opener.
The Kamikaze were limited to just three scores led by Lauren Hanano and Marissa Hesapene with 6 points each. Kawehi Louis-Diamond added 4 points.
