The Kaua‘i for Obama organizing rally will be held Sunday at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School cafeteria in Lihu‘e, from 5 to 7 p.m., according to a statement.
Guest speakers will include Andy Winer, Obama Campaign Chairman for the state of Hawai‘i, and state Sen. Gary Hooser, Obama Campaign Honorary Chairman for the County of Kaua‘i. Ron Wiley of KONG Radio will serve as master of ceremonies.
All are welcome to come and join the rally and campaign, according to the release, and there will be Kaua‘i for Obama T-shirts for sale to benefit the campaign.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras for a photo opportunity with a surprise guest.
Honolulu-born presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama recently left O‘ahu to head back to the Mainland after making a rare presidential candidate visit to Hawai‘i, which has only four electoral votes at stake in the general election on Nov. 4.
