Linda Antipala and the Kaua‘i All Girls Rodeo Association is trying to help Kanan Yamamoto with his medical expenses. Kanan is the son of Jerry and Tami (she rides a mean Barrels event) Yamamoto and the grandson of Cyril and Doris Yamamoto and Peggy and Richard Roberts of Wailua. The KAGRA is throwing a cowboy up Kaua‘i event tonight at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center starting at 5:30. Don’t know if there are any more tickets, but donations are welcome … just swing by for some of the Western-style excitement.
Luz Diaz probably is getting ready to go to the Kaua‘i Marriott for the Kaua‘i Filipino Women’s Club’s annual Terno Ball which helps raise funds for their scholarships. If it’s not sold out, you can check it out starting from 5:30 p.m. tonight.
OK, ‘nuff said, it’s off to football. Kelvin Moniz has been chomping at the bit. He said Lenny Rapozo is the new president of the referees’ association. Congratulations, Lenny. See you on the field.
