William J. “Bill” Fischer died Aug. 14, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born May 14, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wis., and moved to Kaua‘i from San Mateo, Calif., in 1995.
He is survived by sister Margaret Kauffman of San Francisco, Calif.; and his nephews James Nixon of Kapa‘a, Andrew Kauffman of Enschede, the Netherlands, and Benjamin and Matthew Kauffman of San Francisco, Calif.
Bill’s friends are invited to join his family at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, for a memorial service at the Lighthouse Christian Church, 4150 Kilauea Lighthouse Road in Kilauea.
