An informational discussion on wind energy on Kaua‘i covering what is possible and what is presently happening will occur today at 6 p.m.
The discussion will cover large turbines and the outcome of the Moloa‘a study and future plans; medium size turbines and the technology and the results of the first prototype; and residential turbines that include applications on Kaua‘i today.
Also scheduled for this meeting will be visits from Planning Department personnel, Councilman Tim Bynum and discussion about streamlining the application process.
Today’s presentation is at 6 p.m. in the Mo‘ikeha Room at the County Civic Center.
The regular Apollo Kaua‘i meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m., for those who would like to attend.
