Jett got the word during the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce forum for mayoral candidates Tuesday night and had to call dad Richard about the good news. This means there might be two Kaua‘i boys on the field at Aloha Stadium when the University of Hawai‘i hosts Weber State tonight. Is it too late to get Pay For View? Oh well, game replay is on K5.
And, if you miss all that, check with Dean Nakayama at Kaua‘i Bakery Monday. He’ll be using his season tickets to check out the game tonight along with Rich Jasper and family.
Congratulations to all the sponsors who made it possible for the forum for mayoral candidates. The place (KCC Performing Arts Center) was packed, and having the candidates have tables for information was a definite plus.
Liz Ronaldson and Melissa McFerrin cut short their farm fair cleanup to attend the event, and Doug Tiffany had a lot of his Syngenta crew in the audience for this event as well.
Carol Ann Davis was also there, but without her cameras. She said her photo was selected as the winner of the recent Photowalk hosted by Jo Evans in Koloa. Carol Ann says the photo now goes on for national consideration.
OK, off to check out the Pop Warner Jamboree at Vidinha Stadium.
