Kapa‘a is almost the opposite of the that, allowing an average 35.7 points per game while scoring 10. But according to head coach Keli‘i Morgado, the Warriors (0-3) seem to be getting the hang of his new offense. In their last game against Waimea two weeks ago, they came just short of completing a two-point conversion which would have given them the win.
They’ve gotten past their frustration of being so close, only to come up short, and Morgado said they’re showing progress of knowing how to work as a team, every day.
“The lightbulb has come on, on how to play together,” he said.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Trey Shimabukuro has got an arm and isn’t afraid to use it. He will throw the long ball if he sees an open receiver. So far this season, he’s got a 48.8 completion percentage and has thrown for 11 touchdowns.
