MANA — There will be a change in the race date for the November races, announced Bill Turk of the Garden Island Racing Association.
Nov. 9 is the revised date and will be a day race at the Mana Raceway Park.
Gates for racers open at 8 a.m. and spectators are welcome at 9 a.m. Tech inspection and registration will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Test and tune racing starts at 10 a.m. and runs to 1 p.m. with the first round of racing to start at 2 p.m.
The first round of junior racing will be run at 1 p.m. just before the lunch break, Turk said.
“We will not have any lights at the facility and racing must be completed by 6:30 p.m.,” Turk said in a release. “If the finals in a class has not been completed by the cutoff time, no winner bonus points will be issued. Point values will be awarded to the current round of competition that has been completed. Incomplete rounds receive no points.”
Turk said that early set-up in the pit area on Saturday will be allowed for this race only, but all people must exit the pit area prior to the gate opening at 8 a.m., Nov. 9.
