Gary Nakagawa
Gary Sadao Nakagawa died Nov. 11, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nev. at the age of 67.
Born Aug. 29, 1941, he was a retired graphic illustrator from Hickam Air Force Base.
Survived by wife Susan Matsuyama-Nakagawa; sons Jarett (Maria) Nakagawa, Duane (Stacie) Nakagawa; sister Violet Doi of Lihu‘e; brother Edwin (Claire) Nakagawa and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by services at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 6 at Lihu‘e Hongwanji Mission. Burial services to follow at 2 p.m. at Kaua‘i Veteran’s Cemetary in Hanapepe.
Patrick Kinimaka
Patrick Donald Leleo Kinimaka died Nov. 12, 2008 at Turlock, Calif. at the age of 78.
Born Sept. 30, 1931, he was an auto mechanic for PG&E.
Preceeded in death by parents Theresa Hina Kinimaka and Percival Leleo Kinimaka; brother Adrian Kinimaka.
Survived by wife Piilani Ellis Kinimaka; children Donald, James, Lisa, and John Kinimaka; four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Nov. 22, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Newman, Calif., with a Kanikapila reception to follow. Informal Aloha wear is suggested.
Burial will be a cremation and ashes will be spread privately.

Mortuary arrangements were handled by Hillview Funeral Chapels.
August Moniz
August Moniz III died Nov. 10, 2008 at Castle Memorial Hospital at the age of 42.
Born April 4, 1966, in Lihu‘e, he was a musician.
Preceeded in death by father August Moniz Jr.
Survived by mother Sharon B. Wirth and step-father Langra Dailey of Garysburg N.C.; sister Tonita Y.K. Moniz of Minneapolis, Minn; uncles Gary J. Ohls of Newport R.I., Raymond L. Ohls Jr. of Bremerton Wash.; cousins Gail (Tim) Davis, Melissa (Jeff) Cameron and Dyton Orr of California; nephews Nicholas M. and Brandon J. Davis of Minneapolis Minn.; niece Ashley K. A. Davis and great-nephew Aidan C. Hansen of Caifornia.
Services will be held at a later date.

Annie Ornellas Gonsalves died Nov. 11, 2008 at Garden Isle Health Care at the age of 94.
Born Oct. 13, 1914, in Hanama‘ulu, she was retired a pineapple skinner with Kapa‘a Pineapple Cannery.
Survived by daughters, Bernice (Frank) Silva of Pakala, Hawaii, Janice (Michael) Robley of ‘Ele‘ele, Annie (Lawrence) Rodrigues of Hilo, Hawai‘i; sister, Emily Machado; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private graveside services were held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Gonsalves family with arrangements.
Byron Kaohi
Byron Hemolele Kaohi died Nov. 17, 2008 at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 53.
Born Jan. 20, 1955, in Lihu‘e, she was a freight clerk for Young Brothers.
Survived by wife Heidi Kaohi; sons Kelsey Ekela Kaohi, Kendall Kalua-Mori Kaohi; daughter Traci Lynn Kaohi; grandson Jonah; parents Clarence and Lillian Kaohi; sisters Ella Kaohi and JoAnn Livingston.
Visitation at 9 a.m. followed by memorial services at 10 a.m. on Nov. 29 at Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church.
The family requests no flowers.

Antonio Capitle
Antonio V. Capitle died on Nov. 18, 2008 at home in Las Vegas at the age of 57.
Born April 14, 1951, in Pangasinan, Phillipines, he was a parking attendant.
Survived by wife Ludivina Capitle; daughters Mary Rose Jose, Ludy Ann Capitle, Lori Anne Capitle and son Anthony “Ronnie” Capitle.
Memorial services will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo on Nov. 29.
