Waimea High School is looking for a head varsity football coach, said Jon Kobayashi, the school’s athletic director.
Kobayashi said applications for the position are available at his office and the deadline for submitting the filled-out forms is Dec. 4.

Archery club holding Unmarked Shoot
The Hawaii Island Archery Club will be holding an NFAA- Sanctioned Hawai‘i State 3D Unmarked Shoot on the Big Island. The shoot will be held on December 6, at Kapapala Ranch located in Ka‘u at the 40 mile marker on Hwy 11. Registration and bow check will be from 7 to 8:45 a.m., orientation and target assignment: 8:45 to 9 a.m., shoot will start at 9 a.m. NFAA rules and speed limit will apply for those shooting for NFAA chanpionship. Catagories and fees are: adults $25; young adults (15-17) $20; youth (12-14) $15; cubs (9-11) $10; PeeWee (8 and under) $5. Lunch and refreshments will be provided with entry fees. Waimea baseball to hold registration
The Waimea Youth Baseball Association is having baseball registration for all divisions on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the month of November (with the exception of Thanksgiving) from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Waimea Park Pavilion. Hanapepe baseball’s last days for signing up
The last days to register for the Hanapepe Youth Baseball Association’s upcoming season will be Nov. 24 and 25 at the Hanapepe Neighborhood Center patio between 4:30 and 6 p.m.
Players born on or before April 30, 2005, are eligible for the Hanapepe Shetland Division. Applicants must bring a copy of their medical card and birth certificate.
