Peter Dease
Peter Warren Dease died on Nov. 11, 2008 at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 73.
Born Sept. 28, 1935 in Koloa, he was a retired manager.
Survived by sisters Dulce Dease Shafer, Theanne Dease Specht, Elizabeth Dease McNamara, Jeanne Johnson; and brother David Branch.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Jan. 17, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Kapa‘a.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

Manuel Brun Jr. died on Nov. 15, 2008 at the Hilo Medical Center at the age of 82.
Born Feb. 4, 1926 in ‘Ele‘ele, he was retired from Kaua‘i Electric Co.
Survived by wife Cynthia Brun of Honokaa; son Michae (Debora) Brun of Mt. View; daughters Josephine “JoJo” Mahi of Kona, Stephanie Saffery of Kaua‘i, Elizabeth “Tita” Kaolowi of Waimea, Donna (Jerry) Jarra of Hilo, Doreen (Joseph) Carveiro III of Ainaloa and Ashley Brun of Kaua‘i; stepson Luke Damien (Cheryl) Octavio Jr. of Hilo; stepdaughters Theresa Octavia of Kaua‘i and Lucinda (Afu) Lefaosu of Honolulu; brother Joseph (Tina) Brun of Kaua‘i; sisters Beatrice Canno of Texas and Margaret Routt of Louisiana; brothers-in-law Edward Reyes Sr. of Honolulu and Patricio (Reno) Agoto Jr. of Kaua‘i; sisters-in-law Gloria (Bobby) Dezsy of Honolulu, Cecelea Vidinha, Sharon (Clarence) Corpuz and Sandra (Tev) Goldman, all of Kaua‘i; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing services will also be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 6 followed by Mass at Holy Cross Church, Kalaheo, Kaua‘i. Burial will follow Mass at Kaua‘i Veteran’s Cemetery.
Aloha wear is suggested.

Lei “Girlie” Ham Young Niau died on Dec. 2, 2008 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 85.
Born on Feb. 9, 1923 in Hanapepe, she was a sales clerk.
Preceeded in death by husband Louis D. Niau; brothers John H. Young and Richard Ham Young.
Survived by sons L. Steven (Patti) Niau of Lawai, David H. Niau of Honolulu and Michael D. (Myra) Niau of Lawai; daughters Wilma L. Mack (Lee) of Utah, Momi Livingston of Ele‘ele, Pearl L. Kelii (Lionel) of Honolulu and Gail N. Masuda (Bruce) of Kaumakani; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Joseph (Betsy) Young of San Diego, Calif. and Abe Ham Young of Las Vegas, Nev.; half brothers, Ben (Susan) Kali, Sr. and Robert (Kathleen) Kali both of Hanapepe; half sisters, Janet Ortiz, Winefred Kali and Rebecca Freitas all of Hanapepe.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Dec. 9, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kalaheo Ward; service at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at the Hanapepe Cemetery. Casual attire is requested.

Cornelia Tolentino died on Dec. 1, 2008 at the age of 67.
Born on Feb. 14, 1941 in the Phillipines.
Survived by husband Dominador Sr.; mother Cresencia Cabradilla of Puhi; sons Demetrio, Anthony (Lea), Diminador Jr.; daughters Juliet (Simon) Rosa, Mildred (Wendell) Polk, Evelyn (Kip) Baker, Anita (Kelly) Reubens, Susan and Ofelia; eight grandchildren.
Services will be held with viewing at 8 a.m. Mass at 10 a.m. on Dec. 9 at Immaculate Conception Church followed by burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Tolentino family with arrangements.
