For several years the community has gathered to celebrate Kaua‘i’s varied cultures and beliefs. Monday is the annual Kaua‘i Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration for Peace at Kukui Grove Center Stage. See insert for full schedule. Ron Wiley will be master of ceremonies and there will be an opening performance by David Braun. Expect singing, dancing, and arts and crafts for children of all ages. At 1:15 p.m. there will be a keiki peace parade with children holding banners for peace. Music will be provided by the West Kaua‘i Youth Jazz Ensemble. For those involved in organizations promoting world peace, there will be a table to display flyers. For more information call, Annaleah Atkinson at 652-7742.
