Skye Shimabukuro’s mom found out that UH softball will be playing during the time the HHSAA state soccer tournament is going on. That was good news to coach Kris Borrero. Now, how do you get from the Waipio complex to the Manoa campus in time for the game?
Those ladies were at the blustery JV soccer game Thursday night (they had Spam musubi, assorted candies and snacks, too) along with coach Lorna Basquez (was she wearing red?).
Brad Snyder was prepared. He had his umbrella and a jacket after coming to the Wednesday game and saying how nice it was that there was no rain, and Keith Burgess had to work at keeping his umbrella in place and still tend to injured players.
But now there’s no more fried musubi since the Friday night basketball in Kapa‘a got rained out.
And, if you’re out West, the senior softballers will have its season opening this morning at the Waimea Canyon Park…Peter Rayno and Ernie Domingo will be there.
