Playing in their second Hawaiian Airlines/Hawai‘i High School Division II State Girls Basketball Tournament, the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation champions will now face a tough opponent in Wednesday’s quarterfinal: No. 1 Kahuku.
The Lady Warriors (9-0) will take on the Red Raiders (14-1) at 7 p.m. at Kalani. If the Lady Warriors succeed, they will advance to the semifinals against the winner of the No. 4 Moloka‘i/University High game.
In other Division II action, University defeated Hawai‘i Prep 51-47. Kaiser edged out Hawai‘i Baptist Academy 44-43 and Kaimuki beat Seabury Hall 44-23.
