Cinema Anime club meets at Lihu‘e Library

Last week fourteen teenagers attended the first meeting of “Cinema Anime.” Spam Misubi, butter mochi, malasadas and Japanese candies were provided by the library’s Teen Advisory Board. Guests arrived in handmade costumes, make up, masks and armed with bamboo swords. Participants shared their passion for Japanese culture and art then watched the first episode of “Bleach,” an anime series about a 15- year old boy who has an ability to see ghosts and to help them find peace.
