LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help with finding a missing teen, according to a county press release.
According to police, 16-year-old Kehaunani Kahalewai left her home on March 10 and has not been seen since then.
It is believed that Kahalewai is on the Westside of the island, possibly with a friend named Kaimanu.
Kahalewai is 5-feet 5-inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.
Kahalewai has a tattoo of a mokihana lei and a dream catcher on her lower right leg and a partial butterfly on her left shoulder.
She is of Hawaiian descent and has a tan complexion and a medium build.
