Reservations are necessary to play in the 7th annual Mokihana Club’s Women’s Golf Scramble Saturday at the Kaua‘i Lagoons Golf Course.
Proceeds from the event support the Mokihana Club’s nursing scholarship program at Kaua‘i Community College. The scholarships were created for nursing students on Kaua‘i in an effort to increase the nursing workforce on the island. Over the past six years, the Mokihana Club has donated $46,000 in nursing scholarships to KCC students.
Registration for the scramble is $95 and includes green fees, cart, registration gift and lunch at Duke’s. Additional special gifts will be available at the luncheon.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams.
No handicap is required and individual golfers will be placed on a team.
Registration opens at 7 a.m., Saturday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Mulligans and Closest to the Pin on Par 3s can be purchased when registering, Saturday.
Sponsorships of different levels are also available for people wishing to support the nursing scholarship program. These levels include Birdie, or up to $100, Eagle, $100-$249, Bronze, $250-$749, Gold, $750-$1,499, or Platinum, $1,500-$2,000.
Hole sponsorships are avialable for $150.
