HANALEI — Green waste and scrap metal are not being accepted at the Kapa‘a or Hanalei transfer stations until further notice due to safety concerns caused by muddy conditions in the drop-off areas, a county news release states.
In the meantime, residents may drop off their green waste and/or scrap metal at the Lihu‘e transfer station or any other transfer station on the island or the Kekaha Landfill.
Green waste and scrap metal drop-off services at the Kapa‘a and Hanalei transfer stations will resume when conditions at the sites improve.
