Former Kaua‘i resident Alyssa Alayvilla, now a junior at Silverado High School in Las Vegas, was recently chosen to be on the Silverado dance team for her senior year.
Daughter of Dawn and Lance Alayvilla, she was on the high school’s varsity and elite competition cheer team this year.
The grandparents of Alyssa Alayvilla, who attended King Kaumuali‘i and Chiefess Kamakahelei schools before moving to Nevada, still reside on Kaua‘i. They are Domi and Carol Alayvilla from Hanama‘ulu and Louis and Helen Ellegard from Po‘ipu.
Her classmate, Michael Wadsworth, is a senior at Silverado High School and has played football for Silverado all four years there. He is also on the varsity basketball team runs track.
At 6’1” and 182 pounds, he recently signed to play for the University of Hawai‘i as a free safety for the upcoming school year.
Originally from , Utah, where his parents John and Patty Wadsworth currently reside, Michael Wadsworth says in a release that he is really excited for the move to Hawai‘i.
